Human rights today represent a deeply influential moral language and legal system through which contemporary world affairs can be understood, not only politically, but also culturally, socially and economically. Anthropology, regional studies, law, literature, philosophy, political science and many other fields have studied human rights issues from their own disciplinary perspectives and with their particular methods. The Human Rights program is designed to recognize this complexity and support a diverse community of researchers at the University.
